You are a HERO

The question, "What is your superpower?" has almost been worn out and can be cliche' at the very least. However, in terms of teachers, I think it is a very appropriate term. The world of education is not easy. If it were as simple as "teach and learn," then almost anyone could do it. It is all of those other things that take place before teaching and learning can ever take place. Many times, we are the refuge for our students. We don't always know where they are coming from or what happened at home before they come to us.

We have read all of the articles on why a student is acting up, or why they won't do their work, etc. If you have been in the profession any length of time, you now know that what they say is true. A teacher can really make a difference. You may never know the difference you make, but just know that you have touched a child's heart. You give yourself to this profession because you are a giving and a caring person. Our kids do see this. Keep up the good work.
